Large transactions & variable billing

High-Ticket & Variable Billing Payment Options

A business with large invoices or irregular sales needs its payment patterns understood from the start. ProudPay helps you connect with specialists to discuss transaction sizes, delivery schedules, and potential merchant account options.

No obligation. No guaranteed approval.

Give the numbers some context

Monthly volume alone does not explain how you get paid. Ten substantial project payments create a different pattern from hundreds of small purchases. Describe your typical transaction, the largest expected charge, and why payment amounts vary.

Timing matters too. Explain whether customers pay deposits, installments, or a balance on completion, and how long delivery takes. If sales depend on events, launches, or seasonal demand, include the expected peaks and what drives them.

Prepare a realistic payment picture

Use recent business records when available and explain projections clearly if the business is new or changing.

  • Average and maximum expected transaction values
  • Normal monthly volume and anticipated busy periods
  • What is delivered and the time between payment and delivery
  • Deposit, milestone, and final-balance arrangements
  • Customer contracts, refund terms, and completion records
  • Existing account limits or payment problems you need to address

Review limits before committing to a sale

Ask how the proposed account handles larger transactions and changes in volume. Clarify whether advance notice or additional review is needed for unusual activity. Build that communication into your operating process rather than assuming every future payment will be treated the same way.

Compare the complete arrangement: fees, any reserve, settlement timing, equipment or software costs, and supported payment channels. If you are considering ACH as well as cards, ask about the requirements and operational differences for each. A suitable option should fit your customers and your delivery cycle.

Common questions

What amount counts as a high-ticket transaction?

There is no single amount that defines it for every business or provider. Share your actual average and maximum transaction values instead of relying on a label.

Can I split a large charge into smaller payments?

Describe the genuine customer billing arrangement to the provider. Do not divide transactions to bypass account limits or review requirements.

Can I request a review after a large payment was held?

Yes, for potential future processing options. ProudPay cannot release funds held by another company; contact the existing provider about the held payment.
